Buck Rogers in the 25th Century introduced space opera to radio audiences as a serial which was first broadcast on November 7, 1932 and ended in 1947. Originating from New York and broadcast four times weekly (initially at 7:15 P.M. but later moved to an earlier "children's hour"), the program had a built-in audience of funny-paper readers who tuned in by the hundreds of thousands.This is taken from one of the original 1940's radio broadcast. Diner Juke Box Replica Radio-Cassette
Reminiscent of those wonderful 40's and 50's when the Juke Joints had these Select O Matic Juke Boxes on the counters and tables, this is a classic of those days. Made by Crosley and it is used; the AM/FM radio and cassette player work very well. The tuning dial is behind the numbers and letter door, the door will close fine but the spring closer has come off. The chrome overall looks good and polished up nice but there are a few small areas where there is some bubbling.

Eico 950B
The Eico Resistance Capacitance Comparator Bridge is in nice condition and is working. This 60Hz bridge uses an eye tube as a null indicator. It measures capacitance from 10 pf to 5000 uf and resistance from 0.5 ohm to 500 megohms. Resistance, capacitance and inductance can be measured by comparison to an external standard. Capacitor leakage can be evaulated in two ranges at up to 500 volts. The electrolytic leakage range reads directly in power factor. Complete unit with original manual and test leads.

This very nice looking Gray 1954 Clock Radio has a Stationized dial with West Coast settings. Broadcast on AM. There is an AC plug in back to plug a lamp into or some other appliance. The clock is working it has a good set of All American 5 tubes in it and has been electronically restored to work for many years of your listening enjoyment. (Note) there is a very-very fine hairline crack (top left) which was much to fine to be seen on camera and honesty difficult for me to see a couple feet away. I have strengthened the underside so it should be fine.

Physicians Radio Network Radio
I did a little research here's what I found: The idea of this PRN radio was born back in the mid 50s by a New York based group who acquired a special FM frequency, the purpose was to transmit news, short courses and scientific information to doctors. It was a for profit enterprise that was financed by various Pharmaceutical companies. At one time there were about 75,000 doctors who subscribed to this service thru the late 60s. Actually this radio still does receive the FM signal but now the PRN Network is no longer broadcasting and these Physician Network Radios have now become quite collectable.
